Description
Designed for locking swing doors, gates and wickets, with the possibility of their remote opening with the help of controllers of access control system, audio and video intercoms, keypads.
The lock is available in two versions: normally open (open when the supply voltage is removed, and closed when the supply voltage is applied) and normally closed (closed when the supply voltage is removed, and open when the supply voltage is applied). When using the unblocking mechanism of Promix-AD.KM.01 lock, one can manually open the lock with a key.
The lock is cylindrically shaped, making it much easier to install - it is enough to drill a hole with a diameter of 24 mm and insert the lock into it. This allows to minimize carpentry.
Normally open lock can be installed outdoors provided that most of the winter time it is in the closed state (applied supply voltage).
Principle of operation of the lock
When closing the door (regardless of the lock design and availability of supply voltage), the tab is recessed into the lock body, as in a conventional mechanical door latch:
When the supply voltage is applied (for a normally open lock) or the supply voltage is removed (for a normally closed lock), the lock tab locks and prevents the door from being opened.
When the supply voltage is removed (for a normally open lock) or the supply voltage is applied (for a normally closed lock), the lock tab is unlocked and, when the door is opened, it “folds” into the lock body:
Strike plate is included in the package contents. If necessary, instead of the strike plate, one can install a mechanism to unlock Promix-AD.KM.01. lock. When using normally closed Promix-SM203 locks for premises with people, the installation of Promix-AD.KM.01 is mandatory, since it is necessary to ensure that people can leave in an emergency situation when the power supply fails (for example, in case of fire).

Normally closed locks are unlocked by applying the supply voltage, while normally open locks are unlocked by removing the supply voltage. For operation, the lock requires a power supply unit and an ACS controller.
To open the lock, the ACS controller must apply the voltage to the lock or remove it (depending on the lock design), and hold this state until the door is opened.
